Mission
JEZREEL is a year round, full-time traveling Christian evangelism music ministry that we believe God has called to speak and sing in the small communities in North America to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things, for the joy of all peoples, through Jesus Christ.
Our mission statement: “Spreading a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ” concisely summarizes some great theological concepts: love for God, love for others, the supremacy of God, missions, evangelism, worship, joy, and the necessity of Jesus. Let’s break the mission statement into smaller chunks, and briefly analyze them:
Spreading… Jezreel means “God Plants“. For God to plant and reap a spiritual harvest, we need to obey His call to spread the seeds of God’s Word. It’s no accident that the very first word of our mission statement “Spreading…” focuses on the impulse to share what we have received. This is a missions/evangelism emphasis. We remain open to the Lord’s leading and will travel to spread the Good News wherever and whenever our Lord leads!
a passion… What we are spreading is no mere acknowledgment of God’s sovereignty, but a passion — a delight and love — of it. This is an important part of what it means to worship God in spirit and in truth. Our passion is to eternally worship God in spirit and in truth and lead many others to worship the true God – those whom God has reaped a spiritual harvest of joyful eternal life.
for the supremacy of God in all things… God reigns over all beings and all events. He always acts according to the counsel of His will, and His sovereign will is always holy, always loving, and always wise. We want to be a people that revels in God’s supremacy when we experience it as something tender. And we want to be a people that humbly (and even joyfully) bows to God’s supremacy when we experience it as something severe. All that happens to the children of God is for their good and for His glory.
for the joy of all peoples… God, as the giver, gets the glory. We — some from every tongue and tribe and nation — get the joy. It’s the ultimate win/win! The people that we minister to through our presentations are usually in evangelical churches, adult and teen rehabilitation centers, homeless shelters, biker churches, summer Bible camps, jamborees, community and youth/teen/young adult/college/international student outreaches, coffeehouses, concerts, conferences and music festivals. So far, the nations that God has led us to minister to include Canada, USA, Jamaica, Mexico and Brazil.
through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is our only hope for any of this joy. He is the one who makes it all possible by having lived a perfectly obedient life, and by having died a perfectly obedient and sacrificial death and, through His resurrection from the dead, proved that He is the only true God to be worshiped and glorified for ever and ever. Thanks be to God for His inexpressible gift!
“Then the earth will answer the thirsty cries of the grain, the grapevines, and the olive trees. And they in turn will answer, ‘Jezreel’—‘God plants!’. At that time I will plant a crop of Israelites and raise them for myself.
